GaiaHeart Vision A New Culture School & Community ... on Salt Spring Island.
Vision > One School > Many Centres
My name is Merlyn. Merlyn of Gaia.
I’ve lived a few lives during this incarnation. I've been a husband, father, rabbi, professor and businessman.
This new incarnation, as Merlyn, truly began summer 2017 and the Seed-Vision for GaiaHeart came in on the Great Eclipse at Mount Shasta, Ca. This Seed-Vision matured through my explorations with the “Network for New Culture” (NFNC.org) camps.
The New Culture School - an experimental residential institute - was ritually birthed through me during a “Zegg Forum” during Winter Camp near Santa Cruz, CA.
While we draw deeply from the ethos and practices of these camps, New Culture is a loosely held framework and network ... and GaiaHeart will have a life of its own.
Never heard of Salt Spring until a few months ago.
I arrived on this Mystical Island with a clear vision and a commitment to allow the magic to unfold, easily, beyond what I could imagine.
… Very quickly I was blessed to land at a little 9-unit cottage resort on St Mary Lake -in the midst of a transition.
Now I’m in the initial stages of exploring the possibility of transforming it from a cottage resort into an exploratory New Culture School; a new kind of Ashram & Retreat Centre ... with a genuinely loving community supporting it.
Permits for expansion are in for more cottages and we are exploring possibilities with neighbouring farms.
But one flowing step at a time … ;-)
We’d love to see people join us with a passion to develop another centre to run retreats and programs at GaiaHeart. Some Centres being developed, with people on and off-island:
SpiritBody: Centre for Conscious Embodiment
PureFlow: Centre for Sacred Water Consciousness
EarthWeave: Centre for Natural Building
ElevatingEros: Centre for Conscious Sexuality
In our first year a major focus will be the SativaLife Centre.
SativaLife: Centre for Conscious Cannabis Merlyn has been developing this project for a couple of years, and returned to Canada, post-legalization (Oct 17, 2018) to elevate this key cultural transition.
In June,we launch the first one-year program of SativaLife's Cannabis Guide School.
In June we also be hosting the first annual “Conscious Cannabis Symposium (& Festival)" June 6-9, 2019.
The Symposium (Thu-Fri; June 6-7) is an invite-only (max 250 seats) event for leaders of the Conscious Cannabis movement to come together. Location: ArtSpring Island Arts Centre
The Festival (Sat-Sun; June 8-9) will feature programs around the Island.
